A very Happy New Year to you, your family and loved ones. To kick off 2016 we have redesigned our newsletter - I hope you like it!
I'm delighted to say that the Peace One Day strategy for 2016 is now set. Amongst many exciting events that are being planned, there will be another Youth Celebration in the Great Lakes region of Africa. More details to follow in future newsletters.
A lot has happened since Peace Day 2015. Our Patrons Dinner on 15 December was a great success, and we continue to be supported by inspiring people in the corporate world (see link on the right to watch the official film of the event).
Thanks to the support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, we now have over 6,500 active Peace Day supporters in the Great Lakes region, all of whom are committed to spreading the message of Peace where it is needed the most. We have been working on new ideas for our campaign, looking to involve even more people in Peace Day activities in 2016.
Meanwhile, McKinsey & Company have started the process of measuring the awareness of Peace Day 2015 globally. The first indications are that the numbers were incredible; we will let you know the official result when it is finalised.
In 2016 we are aiming to expose 3 billion people to the Peace Day message. We can do it, and you can help us get there! There are lots of ways you can get involved - click here for inspiration. We want to hear about your plans for Peace Day, so please email us and let us know.
Can’t wait to get started!
